PKCUT is a powerful Trim/Copy/Select Tool which works to an exact boundary line(Circles, Boxes and Polygons). PKCUT typed on the command line will bring up the dialogue box from which all variations can be selected.
The Delete/Trim operation will either cut a hole in a drawing ( Keep Outside Button) or trim a drawing within a boundary ( Keep Inside Button)
The Copy/Enlarge operation will either copy or scale copy items inside the boundary ( Copy Default Scale determines the scale of the copy) The copy can then be positioned by a visual and interactive drag so as to be positioned where required with reference lines back to the original section copied when the “Draw boundary” or when “Existing entity” is used.
The Select operation will select entities outside a boundary ( Keep Outside Button) or Select entities inside a boundary ( Keep Inside Button)
The entities to be Trimmed Copied or Selected are chosen using the normal selection modes as part of the PKCUT Command.
All operations work to a boundary which can either be drawn during the command ( Circle or Box ) or to an existing entity within the drawing ( Limited to Circles, Boxes and Polygons).
When OK is clicked the command line will request “Select Entities” - The entities upon which the command will operate can then be selected using the normal FastCAD protocol followed by DO IT. The easiest option is to use select all but when fully familiar with the command layers, colors etc. can be excluded.A title block frame could be inserted into a drawing and the drawing can be cut to a frame border whilst retaining the elements of the title block outside the frame.
If Circle has been selected as the boundary then a “Circle Center” will be requested followed by “Point on Circle”. If Box has been selected as the boundary then “First Corner” will be requested followed by “Opposite Corner” If Existing Entity has been selected as the boundary then “Pick a closed boundary entity” will be requested (An Error message will be displayed if an unacceptable entity is picked - The command will continue if a Circle Box or Polygon is subsequently picked)
